"Because Freedom Is Not Free"

The Heart of America Patriot Foundation was originally formed in 2012 as the KC Charity Golf Foundation to specifically facilitate a golf benefit with all the proceeds going to The Wounded Warrior Projectâ„¢. After successfully raising $20,000 in our inaugural year, we decided to continue our efforts into 2013 for the same cause and were successful raising another $30,000. Raising $50,000 in just two years had our attention.

With the tremendous support we have received from the Kansas City business community and the outpouring of support from our patriotic citizens, we raised another $53,000 in 2014 bringing our three year total to $103,000.  With this success we expanded our efforts to those who might be able to use our support here in the heartland.  We partnered with the University of Kansas Military Graduate Program and committed to a four-year, full-ride scholarship for an area wounded warrior to attend KU.  We partnered with Heartland Honor Flight and covered the flight costs for 50 WWII veterans to travel to Washington, DC to visit the memorials built in their honor.  Our Benefit Committee is busy planning our 2015 Benefit, set for The Nicklaus Golf Club at Lionsgate, Friday, September 11, 2015.  We certainly hope you will participate to help us keep this ball rolling.

There are no paid salaries or rent within the Heart of America Patriot Foundation. All our efforts are 100% voluntary. We have been recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization and are 100% transparent in all our financial dealings. Our Chairman, Stephen A. Brown is a USAF Viet Nam Era Veteran. You are welcome to contact Mr. Brown at stevebrown@hoapf.org or at 913-558-0038.
